Field Rules

We want all dogs and dog owners to enjoy their time at Airy Hill Dog Field
so please read and adhere to the rules listed below at all times.

1. Bookings & Access

All bookings are to be made through the website www.airyhilldogfield.co.uk and must be paid for at the time of booking by credit or debit card.

Bookings are non-transferable. The person making the booking must be present and is responsible for ensuring all attendees comply with these Terms&& Conditions.

A maximum of 8 dogs per booking is permitted unless agreed in advance with management.

You must not arrive more than 5 minutes before your allocated session start time.

The main site gate to Airy Hill Dog Field has a coded lock. You will be sent a unique access code for your session via text message prior to arrival. This code is only valid for your booked time slot.

2. Arrival, Departure & Time Management

Your session allows time to:

  • Unlock the gate
  • Drive in
  • Unload dogs
  • Use the field
  • Re-secure dogs
  • Collect waste
  • Load dogs
  • Exit the site

All of this must be completed within your allocated time slot.

The slot includes ALL time on site. It is not solely field usage time.

If you arrive late, you must still leave at the end of your booked session.

If you are unable to safely re-lead your dog before the end of your session, you must allow sufficient time within your booking.

Overrunning into another customer’s session is strictly not permitted.

If you arrive early and another vehicle is present, you must wait outside and not enter the field.

3. Gate & Site Security

Please ensure the gate is securely closed immediately after entering and before releasing your dog(s).

Likewise, ensure all gates are fully secured upon departure.

Once inside Airy Hill Dog Field with the gate closed, dogs may be let off lead safely. It is your responsibility to ensure gates are closed at all times.

4. Safety Rules

Do not exercise your dog outside of Airy Hill Dog Field unless on a lead.

Dogs must remain on a lead until safely inside the secure field with the gate closed. Never leave dogs unattended at any time.

Do not climb fences, gates, trees, or any structures on site.

The field is a natural environment and may contain uneven ground, mud, stones, standing water, roots, and other natural hazards. Use is entirely at your own risk.

5. Dog Behaviour & Welfare

Dogs must always be under control.

Aggressive dogs showing dangerous behaviour toward people must be removed immediately.

Please “know your dog” and ensure they are suitable for an open but secure environment.

Dogs must be microchipped in accordance with UK law.

Dogs must be free from contagious illness.

Dogs must be regularly treated for worms and fleas and be up to date with vaccinations or covered by appropriate veterinary titre testing.

Harsh verbal or physical handling of dogs is not allowed.

Do not allow dogs to dig.

6. Cleanliness & Field Condition

Hirers must bring their own poo bags and pick up ALL dog waste.

All waste must be taken off site and disposed of appropriately.

All litter must be removed from Airy Hill Dog Field before leaving.

Any toys, balls or equipment brought into the field must also be removed.

The field must be left tidy for the next user.

Lost property is left entirely at the owner’s risk.

7. Vehicles & Parking

Vehicles must be parked only in designated parking areas.

No vehicles are permitted on grass areas.

All vehicles and contents are left at the owner’s risk.

Airy Hill Dog Field accepts no responsibility for damage, loss or accidents.

Please drive slowly and carefully at all times on site.

8. Children & Visitors

Children are welcome but must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn as ground conditions may be muddy or uneven.

9. Weather, Closures & Site Conditions

Airy Hill Dog Field reserves the right to close the field due to weather conditions, flooding, maintenance, or safety concerns.

Occasionally standing water may be present after heavy rainfall.

In the event of closure, customers will be offered a refund or alternative booking.

Users must assess suitability of conditions before use.

10. Cancellations & Refunds

Bookings cancelled more than 24 hours in advance may be eligible for a refund or transfer.

Cancellations within 24 hours of the booking are non-refundable.

No refunds will be issued for missed appointments or no-shows.

11. Liability & Responsibility

Use of Airy Hill Dog Field is entirely at your own risk.

No responsibility is accepted for injury, loss, damage, accident or misadventure to people, dogs, or property.

Users are responsible for ensuring the field is suitable for their dog(s), including fence height suitability and risk assessment.

12. Prohibited Activities

No smoking is permitted anywhere on site.

No BBQs or open flames are permitted.

No sub-letting of Airy Hill Dog Field is allowed.

No commercial use unless agreed in advance with management.

No toilet facilities are available on site.

13. Dogs with Legal Requirements (e.g. XL Bully / Exempt Dogs)

Where applicable, owners of exempt or restricted breed dogs must comply fully with all UK legislation.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Legal exemption status
  • Microchipping
  • Neutering (if required by law)
  • Public liability insurance
  • Lead control outside secure area

Owners remain fully responsible for compliance and handling at all times. Management reserves the right to request evidence of compliance.

14. Professional Users (Dog Walkers / Trainers)

Dog trainers and walkers must contact management prior to booking.

Professional users must hold appropriate insurance.

Separate conditions may apply for commercial use of Airy Hill Dog Field.

15. Damage & Conduct

Any damage caused to Airy Hill Dog Field or its fencing, gates, or equipment will be chargeable to the responsible dog owner.

Users must report any damage or concerns immediately.

Any behaviour deemed unsafe, abusive, or inappropriate may result in termination of use.

16. General Site Conditions

Users must inspect Airy Hill Dog Field before use to ensure it is suitable for their dog(s), including:

  • Fence height suitability
  • Proximity risks
  • Ground conditions
  • Potential escape risk

When outside the secure area, dogs must remain on a lead at all times.

17. Emergency Contact

The person making the booking must have a mobile phone available and switched on during their visit.

If you are unable to regain control of your dog or leave on time, you must contact management immediately.

18. Final Agreement

By entering Airy Hill Dog Field, users confirm they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

All use is at the user’s own risk.
